Kerryon Johnson Gives Detroit Hope
6 years agoDetroit Lions running back Kerryon Johnson showed big-play ability in his first taste of NFL action during the team’s preseason opener against the Oakland Raiders. He led the team with 34 yards rushing, while hauling in four passes for 34 yards. He also had several plays called back, including a 57-yard run. While the majority of his snaps came against the Raiders reserves, Johnson showed the ability to hit the hole and make defenders miss. As the preseason goes on, he should continue to climb the depth chart. However, his current ADP is high for a team that has so many questions in the backfield. While there’s no denying the rookie’s ability, it may take some time for his role to develop.
