Kerryon Johnson Fails To Impress With Heavy Workload
5 years agoDetroit Lions running back Kerryon Johnson saw a season-high 20 touches in Week 3 against the Eagles, including four inside the 10-yard line, but was unable to capitalize with C.J. Anderson no longer lurking in the background. Johnson finished the day with a measly 36 yards on the ground and one touchdown while adding one catch for seven yards. The good news for fantasy owners is that Johnson should continue to see this kind of volume going forward and that alone should keep him firmly in the RB2 conversation. Johnson has the chance for a big outing in Week 4 if he can take advantage of his increased workload when the Kansas City Chiefs come to town. Consider him a high-upside RB2 for that matchup.
