Keon Broxton Reassigned To Minors
4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Keon Broxton was reassigned to the team's minor league campsite on Saturday. The team also sent down infielders Rob Refsnyder, Tzu-Wei Lin, J.T. Riddle, and catcher Tomas Telis. Broxton was initially thought to be a possible factor in the team's outfield plans in 2021 after a strong spring that saw him bat .320 with two doubles, a home run, and five RBI in 19 games, though the battle for the left-field spot seems to be down to Brent Rooker and Kyle Garlick, with Jake Cave expected to make the team. Utility man Willians Astudillo, who has been swinging a hot bat this spring, seems destined to find a spot on the Opening Day roster after today's news.
