Kenyan Drake Gains 65 Yards, Scores Touchdown
4 years agoArizona Cardinals running back Kenyan Drake was the team's primary ball-carrier as expected in Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers. Drake rushed the ball 16 times for 60 yards and a touchdown. He also added two catches on two targets for five yards. Chase Edmonds emerged as the team's top pass-catching option out of the backfield in the game. Edmonds was targeted five times and caught three passes for 19 yards and a touchdown. If Edmonds continues to see most of the targets in the passing game, it will limit Drake's upside, but fantasy owners should still be pleased with 18 touches on the day for Drake. He figures to be a high-end RB2 most weeks going forward.
