Kenta Maeda Expected To Make Next Start
4 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Kenta Maeda (groin) should be good to go for his next start on May 21 against the Indians. Maeda was dealing with groin tightness following his most recent start, though he was scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Tuesday- which he apparently navigated through without setback. The veteran right-hander had had some poor batted-ball luck, as evidenced by his .350 BABIP against, but his 46 percent hard-hit rate and drop in strikeout rate are concerning developments. Perhaps a start against the Indians, who rank 23rd in team OPS, can get him back on the right track.
