Kenta Maeda Earns Win In Twins Debut
4 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Kenta Maeda earned a win in his first start with the team on Sunday. Maeda pitched five innings and allowed four hits, one walk and two earned runs while striking out six. The Twins' bats got going early, giving Maeda a 9-0 lead by the end of the second inning. While Maeda certainly won't get nine runs of support each game this year, the Twins will certainly provide sufficient offense for him. Maeda should be a strong mid-rotation fantasy pitcher this year. His next start will be at home against the Cleveland Indians on Saturday.
