Kenta Maeda Earns Second Save Of Season Friday
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers pitcher Kenta Maeda picked up his second save of the season in Friday's 4-2 game against the Rockies. Teammate Scott Alexander started the ninth inning up by two runs but was replaced by Maeda after giving up a single and getting an out. Maeda was able to get the next two outs with a strikeout to end the game. It was known that closer Kenley Jansen would not be making the trip to Colorado, so Maeda will likely not be seeing many more save opportunities as long as Jansen is healthy enough (irregular heartbeat) to pitch. Unfortunately, Maeda does not hold much fantasy value as a non-regular closing bullpen piece.
