Kenta Maeda Earns Loss Against Giants
7 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starter Kenta Maeda floundered against the Giants on Sunday, earning his second loss of the season. He got into trouble right away in the first with a two-out double to Buster Posey, a walk to Brandon Belt and a home run to Evan Longoria. In the bottom of the third, he gave up a walk to Posey (again with two outs) who scored on a Brandon Belt double. All in all, he walked four batters and only struck out three. Maeda's been up and down in his starts, but won't be sent to the bullpen, according to GM Farhan Zaidi. He's an iffy play moving forward and should only be deployed against the weakest of offenses. He's lined up to open the series against the Padres in Monterrey, Mexico on Friday.
