Kenta Maeda Activated Off Injured List Ahead Of Monday's Start
3 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Kenta Maeda (arm, groin) was activated off the injured list ahead of Monday's start against the Seattle Mariners. The Twins placed Michael Pineda (forearm) on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. Maeda has been sidelined since May 22 due to a groin strain as well as arm soreness, though he is set to return to the Twins' rotation after just one rehab outing. The veteran right-hander's arm may not be fully stretched out yet, something to keep in mind if starting him, though the matchup is definitely an optimal one for fantasy purposes. Though Maeda has disappointed this season, the Mariners have posted the third-worst strikeout rate in the majors.
