Kent Bazemore Hits Game-Winner
6 years agoAtlanta Hawks shooting guard/small forward Kent Bazemore came off the bench for the first time all season Sunday against the Charlotte Hornets but still finished the game on the floor, and thankfully so for Atlanta, as he made the game-winning layup with 4.6 seconds to play. Despite entering the day questionable to play with an ankle injury, Bazemore amassed 20 points off the bench on 9-for-11 shooting, even adding in five assists and four rebounds across 25 minutes of action. It’s still to be seen if this forces him back into the starting lineup, but if Sunday is any indication, he’ll get plenty of touches even if he comes off the bench.

Austin Reaves, Kent Bazemore Out Wednesday
3 years agoLos Angeles Lakers shooting guard/small forward Austin Reaves and small forward Kent Bazemore have tested out of the league's COVID-19 health and safety protocols, but neither were cleared to return to action Wednesday vs. Memphis. Reaves' absence has now been extended to seven games, while Bazemore is missing his sixth consecutive contest, leaving L.A. thin on the wing for the time being. Talen Horton-Tucker and Stanley Johnson have stepped into larger roles without the duo available. Prior to entering the protocols, Reaves had averaged 11 points and 5.3 rebounds across 28.5 minutes in his three latest outings. Fantasy managers will want to keep an eye on Reaves' and Bazemore's availability ahead of Friday's matchup against the Trail Blazers.

Kent Bazemore Returns To Starting Five Friday
3 years agoLos Angeles Lakers small forward Kent Bazemore has been bumped into the starting group for Friday's contest against Minnesota. Bazemore will be making his first start since Nov. 12, having since played sparingly off the bench. Even during his stint as a starter to begin the year, Bazemore scored in double figures just twice, severely limiting his fantasy appeal. Although, the veteran could see a significant minutes bump beginning Friday as Talen Horton-Tucker and Austin Reaves have entered the league's health and safety protocols.
