Kenley Jansen Secures His First Save On Sunday
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen worked a perfect 15-pitch ninth inning to nail down his first save of the season in the series finale against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He was hit in the leg by a comebacker in a Freeway Series exhibition game against the Los Angeles Angels, but luckily he was fine and he looks good to go after this impressive outing. Jansen showed some chinks in the armor last season after being one of the most dominant closers in the game. His velocity was down to 92 mph during the spring, about 3 mph slower than normal, but it was considered normal. Keep counting on him as a must-start fantasy closer across all formats.
