Kenley Jansen Records 28th Save
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen converted his 28th save of the season in Tuesday's victory versus the San Diego Padres. The veteran has been having a rough second half of the season and despite converting the save and not allowing a run, Jansen was still shaky with a hit allowed and a walk in the inning. He also recorded two strikeouts in the contest. Manager Dave Roberts continues to show confidence in the veteran and he should remain the closer moving forward. Jansen has now converted 28 of his 33 save opportunities this season and owns a 2.81 ERA on the season. Managers should feel confident about him remaining the closer, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to insure him relief pitcher Blake Treinen, especially in leagues that count holds.
