Kenley Jansen Picks Up 11th Save Of The Season
4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen fired a scoreless ninth inning to notch the save in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the San Diego Padres. It did not come easy, however, as Jansen surrendered two hits and a walk to load the bases with one out. Thankfully, the 32-year-old struck out the next two batters he faced to preserve the win. Jansen has had a shaky stretch of play as of late, headlined by a five-run blown save against the Astros last week. Nevertheless, he leads the National League with 11 saves in 13 opportunities and has now recorded back-to-back scoreless appearances. Jansen remains an elite closing option.
