Kendall Graveman Will Remain Out For The ALCS
1 year agoHouston Astros relief pitcher Kendall Graveman (shoulder) will be out for the ALCS, according to manager Dusty Baker. The Astros' skipper told reporters on Saturday that the veteran reliever is still dealing with the shoulder issue that kept him off the ALDS roster and that his condition hasn't improved. Depending on how the next week goes, and if the Astros can advance to the World Series, Graveman has a chance to pitch this postseason but it's looking unlikely at the moment. The 32-year-old put up a 2.42 ERA, 1.522 WHIP, and 24:16 K/BB ratio over 22 1/3 innings with the Astros after coming over from the White Sox at the trade deadline. His absence is a big one as he was one of the Astros' more reliable high-leverage relievers down the stretch.
