Kendall Graveman Earns Fourth Save Of Season Tuesday
1 year agoChicago White Sox relief pitcher Kendall Graveman picked up his fourth save of the season in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Guardians. Graveman came in to pitch the bottom of the ninth up by two. He allowed a leadoff walk, induced a double play, allowed a single, and ended the game on a strikeout. The veteran has emerged as the primary candidate for save opportunities for the Sox lately and has converted all of his save opportunities with a 3.10 ERA, 8.85 K/9 rate, and 3.98 BB/9 rate. Liam Hendriks is in the process of getting ready to return to the team and should take over the closer's role when ready, but Graveman appears to be a useful fantasy option until that happens.
