Kendall Graveman Dealing With Back Discomfort
1 year agoUpdating a previous report, Houston Astros relief pitcher Kendall Graveman (back) left his appearance on Wednesday against the Boston Red Sox with lower-back discomfort and he'll be evaluated in Houston on Thursday. Graveman picked up his 11th hold of the season and allowed a hit and a walk in just two-thirds of an inning before departing the mound. The Astros have a day off on Thursday, but it remains to be seen if the 32-year-old reliever will be available for a weekend series against the visiting New York Yankees. Graveman is still valuable in deep holds leagues, but he lost a lot of his fantasy appeal when he was traded to Houston, where he's been serving as a late-inning setup man instead of a closer like he was for the Chicago White Sox earlier in the year.
