Kendall Graveman Converts His Second Save On Tuesday
3 years agoChicago White Sox relief pitcher Kendall Graveman closed out the team's 4-1 victory over the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday to earn his second save of the year. He pitched a scoreless ninth inning, but he did allow one hit and a walk before putting a cap on the night. The team's primary closer, Liam Hendriks, had pitched in three of the team's previous four games, so the Sox likely wanted to give him the day off on Tuesday. Graveman is now 2-for-3 in save opportunities on the year and he has a 1.76 ERA and 1.17 WHIP. He'd likely be the next man up for saves in Chicago if Hendriks were forced to miss time.
