Ken Giles Sharp In First Outing
6 years agoToronto Blue Jays closer Ken Giles had an impressive debut to his 2019 season on Thursday. He entered the game in the ninth inning in a 0-0 tie and struck out the side against the Detroit Tigers. It wasn't a cakewalk either as he faced Miguel Cabrera, Nicholas Castellanos, and Jeimer Candelario to keep the game even. Giles is looking to rebound after a disastrous 2018 where he got demoted and then traded at the deadline from the Houston Astros. He should have a decent length on his closing leash with the Blue Jays and could be a surprising fantasy asset this season.
