Ken Giles Set To Undergo Tommy John Surgery
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays right-handed pitcher Ken Giles (elbow) is slated to miss the remainder of the 2020 season and likely most of 2021 due to impending Tommy John surgery. Giles had attempted to battle his way back from a forearm strain earlier this season, but with a flexor strain shutting him down for good after four appearances this year, his tenure as a Blue Jay may have concluded. The timing of the surgery makes it difficult for there to be a path for Giles getting on the hill in next year, with his next chance to be fantasy relevant (depending on his role and recovery) coming in 2022.
