Kelvin Herrera Locks Down 13th Save
6 years agoKansas City Royals closer Kelvin Herrera has been a bit limited in the save department this season due to the poor play of the team around him, but when given the chance, he’s been quite solid. Herrera’s only blown one save in 2018, and he’s surprisingly still walk-less. In fact, no other pitcher in the league has thrown 14 or more innings this year without recording at least one walk. Herrera’s strikeout rate is a bit depressed as well, but if it means he’ll keep bonus runners off base like this, it looks like it’s worth it. His WHIP is a career-best 0.74 so far.
