Kelvin Caceres Assigned To Minor-League Camp
2 months agoThe Los Angeles Angels have assigned right-handed pitcher Kelvin Caceres (lat) to minor-league camp. Caceres was invited to the major-league camp as a non-roster invite. However, he is still recovering from the season-ending lat injury he sustained last March. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status as he currently holds an unclear timeline. Last season, the 25-year-old was unable to appear in a professional contest. In 2023, Caceres made his MLB debut and tossed one 1/3 innings. During that season, he spent most of his time with Double-A, where he held a 5.61 ERA and a 1.54 WHIP. At Triple-A, Caceres flashed high upside as he held a near-perfect 0.90 ERA with a 1.00 WHIP across 10 innings of work. When healthy, he will likely open the 2025 season at Triple-A.
