Keelan Doss Still Competing For More Playing Time
5 years agoOakland Raiders wide receiver Keelan Doss has yet to see a pass attempt come his way this season, but head coach Jon Gruden gave us optimism by stating "when the time is right, you'll see him." The undrafted rookie played a measly two snaps in Sunday's Week 3 loss to the Vikings in a game where all the Raiders receivers were mostly held in check. Other than Tyrell Williams and Darren Waller, no one has stepped forward as a third legitimate passing weapon, so it begs the question if it's time to give Doss an opportunity. The front office forked over a hefty contract to the 23-year-old after Antonio Brown packed his bags, so it seems inevitable he'll have a role in the offense at some point. Until we see Doss emerge into a more significant role he remains a dynasty stash, but managers in redraft leagues shouldn't write him off for this season yet.
