Ke'Bryan Hayes Not In The Starting Lineup On Sunday Against Miami
1 year agoPittsburgh Pirates third baseman Ke'Bryan Hayes is absent from the starting lineup for Sunday's season finale against the Miami Marlins. In all likelihood, Hayes will finish the 2023 season with a .272/.310/.452 batting line to go along with 15 home runs, 63 RBI, and 10 stolen bases across 489 at-bats (123 games). The 15 jacks more than double his previous career-high of seven and his .272 batting average is his highest season finish since the shortened 2020 campaign in which he hit .376 in just 24 games. He's never quite lived up to his potential but a strong finish to 2023 will make him an intriguing option in next year's fantasy drafts. Jared Triolo is starting at third base and is batting second against Miami.
