Keaontay Ingram Tallies Only Eight Yards In Loss
1 year agoArizona Cardinals running back Keaontay Ingram rushed for eight yards on nine attempts in the Cardinals' 27-0 loss to the Cleveland Browns. The Browns stifled the Arizona run game all day, which impacted the ability of rookie quarterback Clayton Tune to get anything going in the passing game. The combination of a stingy Cleveland defense and stacked fronts made it a day to forget for Ingram before the game script necessitated switching to the aerial attack. With James Conner (knee) eligible to return as early as Week 10, Ingram may be relegated back to a complimentary role in the Arizona backfield sooner rather than later.

Keaontay Ingram Waived By Chiefs
7 months agoKansas City Chiefs running back Keaontay Ingram has been waived by the organization on Tuesday. Ingram was the odd man out with Kareem Hunt being added to the active roster. There was no more room for Ingram with Carson Steele, Samaje Perine, and now Hunt all in the mix while Isiah Pacheco (leg) recovers. Ingram rushed for 134 yards on 62 attempts over parts of two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. He didn't play a single snap despite being active for the game last week. The 24-year-old will look to catch on elsewhere as depth.

Chiefs Sign Keaontay Ingram To Active Roster, Kareem Hunt To Practice Squad
7 months agoThe Kansas City Chiefs signed running back Keaontay Ingram to the active roster and Kareem Hunt to the practice squad on Wednesday, according to the team's official X account. These moves come after Isiah Pacheco (leg) suffered a fractured fibula and was placed on Injured Reserve. With Pacheco sidelined, rookie Carson Steele and veteran Samaje Perine are expected to split touches in the backfield, but Hunt could become a contributor. The former third-round pick by Kansas City in 2017 spent his final season with the Cleveland Browns last year and rushed for 411 yards and nine touchdowns while adding 15 receptions for 84 yards. Hunt appears to be well beyond his prime, but he could become a deep-league flex option if he gets integrated soon and earns a role in the offense.

Keaontay Ingram Elevated To Chiefs Active Roster
1 year agoKansas City Chiefs running back Keaontay Ingram has been elevated from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of Sunday's Week 17 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Ingram, who began the season with the Cardinals, signed with the Chiefs' practice squad back in late November. Ingram's elevation could mean that Isiah Pacheco (concussion) or perhaps Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) will not be available for Sunday's game against the Bengals. CEH is currently listed as questionable while Pacheco has not yet been medically cleared to play despite returning to practice on Friday.

Cardinals Release Keaontay Ingram
1 year agoThe Arizona Cardinals released running back Keaontay Ingram and defensive lineman Ben Stille from the active 53-man roster on Tuesday and released offensive lineman Austen Pleasants from the practice squad. The Cardinals are fully stocked at the running back position now that James Conner is back from Injured Reserve and after the team claimed Michael Carter off waivers from the New York Jets a few weeks ago. The Cardinals also have rookie Emari Demercado currently operating as the No. 3. The 24-year-old Ingram played in eight games (one start) for Arizona this year and had 35 rushing attempts for only 74 yards (2.11 yards per carry) while adding four receptions for an additional 26 yards through the air. Ingram will be hoping to latch on with another team as RB depth.
