Kawhi Leonard Shines In Regular-Season Debut In Toronto
6 years agoToronto Raptors forward Kawhi Leonard went for 24 points with 12 rebounds across 37 minutes in Wednesday's 116-104 victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers in his regular-season debut with the team, helping Toronto to its sixth consecutive opening-night victory. He was acquired from the San Antonio Spurs in July for DeMar DeRozan, and received a hero's welcome from the crowd. "It was great," Leonard said. "They gave me some more energy." The best news is that he was not bothered by the quadriceps injury which limited him to just nine games played a season ago.
