Karl-Anthony Towns Posts Third Straight Double-Double
5 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns tried his best to claw his Timberwolves team to an improbable comeback on Friday night but fell just short. In Minnesota's 124-117 loss to the Clippers, Towns had 39 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, and two steals in 35 minutes. He shot over 50% from the field, made five three-pointers and hit 10 of his 13 free throws on the night. It was his third double-double performance in a row and is now up to 18 of them on the season. The Timberwolves don't play again until Wednesday where they start a four-game road trip against the Pelicans, Nuggets, Trail Blazers, and Suns. Towns should be a staple in all fantasy lineups for Week 9 and every week after that.
