Kahlil Watson Activated In Minors
2 years agoMiami Marlins shortstop prospect Kahlil Watson has been activated and will play in the Florida Complex League on Friday. Watson has been out since July 1 due to disciplinary reasons, but he'll return for the second half of the minor league season. The 19-year-old left-handed hitter has batted .221/.274/.372 with eight home runs, 35 RBI, 36 runs scored and 12 stolen bases in 252 plate appearances over 59 games for Single-A Jupiter in just his second professional season. Watson stands at only 5-foot-9 and 178 pounds, but his bat speed gives him plenty of raw power at the dish. He'll need to improve his approach at the plate and cut down on his strikeouts (99 in 231 at-bats) if he wants to make it to the big leagues as an everyday player for the Fish.
