Kadarius Toney Won’t Play Sunday Vs. Cleveland
3 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Kadarius Toney (undisclosed) will not play in Sunday's preseason game against the Cleveland Browns. He was held out from Saturday's preseason game against the New York Jets due to an apparent injury. The 20th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft has barely practiced in training camp due. He was placed on the COVID-19 list to start camp and missed practice this week due to an undisclosed injury. "It just is what it is," offensive coordinator Jason Garrett said. "He wants to be out there. We want him to be out there. He's just had a couple of different situations that he's dealing with, so what you have to do is take the approach of, 'OK, what opportunities do I have?' " Toney's next chance to play will be on August 29 against the New England Patriots. The 22-year-old has an ADP of 306 in FFPC Leagues; he has a ton of upside but is not expected to have a significant role in the Giants offense in 2021 with a crowded receiver group that includes Kenny Golladay, Darius Slayton, and Sterling Shepard.
