Kadarius Toney Undergoes Knee Surgery On Tuesday
1 year agoKansas City Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney (knee) underwent surgery Monday morning to clean up cartilage in his knee. He tweaked his knee while fielding a punt on Sunday, aggravating the knee that he already had a cleanup procedure on this offseason. Injuries have been the story of Toney's two-year NFL career, so it's tough to trust him to be available during the 2023 campaign. Head coach Andy Reid said "There's a chance" he'll be ready for the season-opener against the Detroit Lions in early September, so it looks like he's likely to carry a "questionable" tag right away into Week 1. Fantasy managers should be cautious when considering drafting Toney. The path to targets should get easier for Skyy Moore and Rashee Rice if Toney misses any game action.
