Kadarius Toney Listed As Questionable
3 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Kadarius Toney (ankle) is officially listed as questionable heading into his game against the Los Angeles Rams. The rookie had a massive breakout game against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5 with 189 receiving yards, thanks in large part to fellow wide receivers Kenny Golladay and Sterling Shepard's injuries opening up a depth chart spot. Golladay has been ruled out, but Shepard will return for Week 6. Regardless, if Toney plays, it will be difficult for fantasy managers to bench him. In the draft, there was certainly skepticism surrounding the Giants selecting Toney in the first round, but as the season has advanced, he's shown elite speed and shiftiness, therefore proving that the high draft selection was warranted. If Toney is active on Sunday, he will be a WR2/3 and should be started in most leagues.

Browns Waive Kadarius Toney
4 months agoThe Cleveland Browns waived wide receiver Kadarius Toney on Tuesday. Toney was recently signed to the 53-man active roster from the practice squad on Saturday, but he wasn't targeted at all in the team's Week 14 loss to the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers, and he failed to haul in his only target while carrying the ball twice for minus-four yards in his three games active for the Browns this year. The 25-year-old former first-round pick by the New York Giants in 2021 out of Florida has been a massive bust in the NFL and has missed lots of time due to lower-body injuries that have slowed him down. In three-plus seasons, Toney has only managed 82 receptions on 116 targets for 760 yards (9.3 yards per catch) and three touchdowns in 35 games (10), adding 23 carries for 115 yards and another score. If nobody claims Toney on waivers, he'll be free to sign with any team.

Kadarius Toney Signed To Active Roster
4 months agoAccording to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Cleveland Browns have signed wide receiver Kadarius Toney to the active roster. Toney has appeared in two games this season with the Browns after bouncing between the active roster and the practice squad. Seeing him join the roster on Saturday suggests he will likely suit up for his second-straight contest this weekend. On Monday evening, Toney could not bring in his lone target and added three yards on one carry. In this game, Toney saw just six offensive snaps. After tallying 420 yards during his rookie campaign, the former first-round selection has not found any consistency at the professional level. Toney should remain on your waiver wire until further notice.

Kadarius Toney Active For 2024 Debut
4 months agoCleveland Browns wide receiver Kadarius Toney is active for Sunday's Week 11 game against the New Orleans Saints. The 25-year-old was elevated from the practice squad on Saturday and will make both his Browns debut and his season debut on Sunday afternoon. Toney is expected to operate behind Jerry Jeudy, Elijah Moore, and Cedric Tillman, keeping him off the fantasy radar for the time being.

Kadarius Toney Elevated To Active Roster
4 months agoThe Cleveland Browns elevated wide receiver Kadarius Toney from the practice squad to the active 53-man roster for Sunday's Week 11 contest versus the New Orleans Saints. Toney will be making his 2024 debut if he's active for Sunday's contest in the Big Easy. The 25-year-old former first-round pick by the New York Giants in 2021 hasn't lived up to his draft stock, mainly due to nagging lower-body injuries. If active for Week 11, Toney will provide the Browns with receiving depth behind Cedric Tillman, Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore while competing for playing time with Jaelon Darden and rookie Jamari Thrash. Toney missed over a month earlier this season due to an undisclosed injury but appears to be fully healthy for now. He's unlikely to be on the field for many snaps in his first game in 2024.
