K.H. Lee A Player To Avoid At The Mexican Open
1 day agoAfter missing five straight cuts dating back to last year, K.H. Lee has recorded finishes of T9 at the Farmers Insurance Open and T67 at the WM Phoenix Open. He now looks ahead to the Mexican Open, an event he missed the cut at in 2024. This course demands distance off the tee, and Lee ranks 69th on tour in driving distance, averaging 305.8 yards, and has gained 4.164 strokes off the tee this season. Where Lee starts to struggle is on approach, having lost 6.617 strokes and ranking in just the 6th percentile over the last 12 months in greens in regulation from 200-plus yards — a distance that accounted for 43.3% of all approach shots at this course last year. His scrambling ability doesn't help make up these lost strokes either, as he ranks 90th on tour, making par or better 60.67% of the time after missing the green. Although Lee is starting to find better form, he is still not a player that can be trusted this week, even at his $6,900 price tag on DraftKings.
