Justyn Ross Getting First-Team Snaps
1 year agoKansas City Chiefs wide receiver Justyn Ross got first-team reps at practice on Sunday. The 23-year-old missed the 2022-23 campaign because of a foot injury sustained at the collegiate level. There was also talk of him not making the team. However, Ross' enhanced role early in training camp makes things interesting. The Chiefs lost JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman Jr. this offseason, so Kansas City is looking to fill the void. Although Travis Kelce is expected to remain Patrick Mahomes' favorite target, there is room for others to get more involved. Whether or not Ross will be one of the guys to earn Mahomes' attention is yet to be seen. But it's certainly a situation worth monitoring.
