Justyn-Henry Malloy Hits First Homer
6 months agoDetroit Tigers outfield prospect Justyn-Henry Malloy went 2-for-3 with a solo home run to provide the only offense for his team in Wednesday's blowout loss versus the Texas Rangers. Malloy's homer would be the first of his big-league career. The 24-year-old was promoted on Monday and was hitless in his first seven at-bats before Wednesday's breakout performance. Malloy should continue to get regular playing with Kerry Carpenter (back) sidelined with no official return date. Malloy has a very strong eye at the plate, and that usually helps prospects as they transition to the big leagues. Malloy should be rostered in dynasty leagues and is worth a look in deeper redraft leagues as well.
