Justus Sheffield Set For Mound Work
3 years agoSeattle Mariners pitcher Justus Sheffield (forearm, oblique) is scheduled to throw off a mound on Sunday. He went on the injured list in July with a left flexor strain and a Grade 2 oblique strain. He continues to make progress from both injuries as he's been limited to playing catch and throwing off flat ground. The 25-year-old has no timetable for a return and remains day-to-day. Sheffield has struggled this season, owning a (5-8) record along with a 6.48 ERA, 1.78 WHIP, and a 59:35 K: BB across 73 2/3 innings. Fantasy managers can leave the Mariners right-hander on the waiver wire in most league formats.
