Justus Annunen Earns First Career Start On Monday
3 years agoColorado Avalanche goaltender Justus Annunen will make his first career start in Monday's road contest against Philadelphia. The 21-year-old made his league debut on Saturday against Ottawa in a 6-5 overtime loss, stopping 17 of 19 shots in a relief effort. Annunen was the Avalanche's third-round pick in the 2018 draft, and he's carried the Colorado Eagles in the AHL this season with a 6-4-3 record, allowing 2.62 goals per game with a .906 save percentage. The Flyers are on an eight-game losing streak, so the young Finn finds himself in a nice spot to get his first win on the board.
