Justin Wrobleski Sharp In Sunday's Start
17 seconds agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitching prospect Justin Wrobleski tossed three shutout frames on Sunday afternoon against the Athletics. Wrobleski tallied three punchouts and did not allow a baserunner. This was a strong outing for Wrobleski as he is competing for a role on the major league roster. Last season, the 24-year-old made his MLB debut and posted a 5.70 ERA with a 1.38 WHIP across 36 1/3 innings of work. He appeared in eight games and started six of them. In the minor leagues, he spent time at both Double and Triple-A last summer. Across 67 2/3 innings at Double-A, Wrobleski held a strong 3.06 ERA with a 1.03 WHIP. However, when he moved up to Triple-A, he struggled as he posted a higher 5.46 ERA with a 1.86 WHIP. If he continues this strong performance in spring, he could earn a long relief role in the majors.
