Justin Wrobleski Optioned To Triple-A
1 week agoLos Angeles Dodgers pitching prospect Justin Wrobleski was optioned to Triple-A on Wednesday. Wrobleski was given the starting nod on Tuesday evening against the Washington Nationals but struggled in this outing as he allowed eight hits and eight earned runs in just five innings of work. He struck out four batters and served up three free passes. Even with Blake Snell (shoulder) on the injured list, the Dodgers will opt for Wrobleski to continue his development with Triple-A Oklahoma City. Last summer, Wroblesk logged 36 1/3 innings in the major leagues and held a 5.70 ERA with a 1.38 WHIP. Through his first five 2/3 innings with Oklahoma City this season, Wrobleski did not allow a run and struck out three. As a result, Landon Knack should continue to see opportunities in the rotation.
