Justin Wilson Exits Monday’s Game With Shoulder Injury
4 years agoNew York Yankees left-handed pitcher Justin Wilson (shoulder) left Monday's Grapefruit League game versus Philadelphia due to left shoulder tightness. Wilson is set to undergo further evaluation Tuesday, when the club is expected to provide an update on an integral member of their bullpen. Having notched a 2.91 ERA over 68 appearances with the cross-town Mets over the past two years, Wilson has been in line for an elevated role with the Yanks' relief corps due to the injury to Zack Britton (elbow). Aside from closer Aroldis Chapman, New York could be facing a southpaw shortage should Wilson be forced to miss any extended period of time. Check back for updates on Wilson's status as they become available.
