Justin Verlander Dominates In Final Spring Start
6 years agoHouston Astros starter Justin Verlander celebrated his new $66 million, two-year extension by striking out nine of the 14 Miami Marlins he faced on Saturday. He allowed only two hits, both singles, and no walks. What's even scarier is that the fact that Verlander was working on a hip adjustment that he claims to have "found" from his Cy Young and MVP-winning 2011 season. We'll see if it sticks when he opens this season against the man that beat him for the 2018 Cy Young, Blake Snell, in Tampa on March 28th. Verlander is a top five pitcher who unbelievably may have another gear in him.
