Justin Upton Dealing With Lower Back Tightness
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Justin Upton (back) exited Tuesday night's game due to lower back tightness, the team announced on Twitter. Upton had struck out swinging in his final at bat to end the second inning, and he was then replaced defensively in the top of the third inning by Juan Lagares. He's been having a good year at the plate so far, as he is slashing .249/.339/.484 with 14 homers, 32 RBI and 40 runs scored over 62 games. For now, managers should consider him day-to-day and hope it won't keep him out for an extended period of time.
