Justin Turner Not Expected To Play Wednesday
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said he "will stay away" from third baseman Justin Turner (knee) in Wednesday's game against the Giants. Turner was removed from Tuesday's contest after being hit by a pitch on the left knee. The 36-year-old remained in the game for a few innings before exiting with a left knee contusion. Turner is slashing .302/.391/.509 with 17 homers, 55 RBI, and 55 runs scored across 376 plate appearances in 2021. Matt Beaty replaced him in Tuesday's game and would handle third base duties on Wednesday while Turner is out. Beaty is mainly an option in NL-only formats after slashing .262/.355/.379 over 78 games this season.
