Justin Thomas Looks To Rebound At WM Phoenix Open
1 hour agoJustin Thomas started last week's Pebble Beach trip strong, posting a six-under 66 on Thursday, but struggled the rest of the way to finish one-under par and end up T48. He also ranked 75th in bogey avoidance over the weekend. Thomas now shifts his focus to TPC Scottsdale for his 11th straight WM Phoenix Open. In his prior appearances, he has made the cut eight times, with each resulting in a finish of T17 or better. This course rewards good drivers of the golf ball, an area where Thomas has struggled this year, ranking 129th in total driving and 156th in strokes gained off the tee. The good news for fantasy managers is that Thomas has only lost strokes off the tee once in this event, which was back in 2016. He has been excellent in other aspects of his game, including ranking ninth in approach shots from 150-175 yards, a distance that accounts for 24.2% of all approach shots at TPC Scottsdale. For his $10,500 DraftKings price tag to be worth it, Thomas will need to get his driving back on track.
