Justin Smoak's Grand Slam Leads Blue Jays Past Marlins
6 years agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Justin Smoak entered the game as a pinch-hitter and crushed a grand slam in the top of the ninth inning on Friday against the Miami Marlins. It was his only plate appearance of the contest, but he definitely made it count. Smoak's numbers are a bit down from last year's breakout season, but he is still having a serviceable fantasy campaign. The slugger has 22 home runs, 68 RBI, and a .251 average through 443 at-bats. He offers decent power numbers for those in mixed, or AL-only leagues.
