Justin Rose In Top Form Entering Open Championship
6 years agoAt the age of 37, Justin Rose may be playing the best golf of his career. Since last years FedEx Cup Playoffs, Rose has four wins and 17 top-10 finishes in 22 worldwide starts, and has vaulted all the way up to No. 3 in the World Golf Rankings. Rose has had mixed results at the Open Championship, however. As an amateur 20 years ago Rose finished T4 at Royal Birkdale, but didn't card another top-10 finish until a T6 at St. Andrews in 2015. Still, there is reason for optimism as Rose brings top form and experience to Carnoustie, were he finished T12 the last time the Open was played here in 2007. He's also played many rounds here in the Dunhill Links Championship, which uses Carnoustie for one of it's rounds. Rose's form, and experience, gives him a real shot at winning this week and finally adding that second major to his resume.
