6 years agoNationals relief pitcher Justin Miller earned a save Monday in Philadelphia. Miller was called upon after Ryan Madson pitched the eighth and recorded a clean ninth. Madson had just been activated from the disabled list earlier in the day so it shouldn't have been shocking to see him in a lower leverage situation. Going forward, with Kelvin Herrera out for the year and Sean Doolittle out indefinitely, it seems like the Nationals will be going with a committee mostly based on health. Koda Glover, Justin Miller, and Ryan Madson could all be in line for saves going forward.--Kev Mahserejian
