3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert will face a Chiefs defense that will be without key starters L'Jarius Sneed (cornerback) and Willie Gay (linebacker) on Sunday. Perhaps even more importantly, star defensive tackle Chris Jones was placed on the COVID-IR on Tuesday, which would seem to make it difficult for him to be back in time for Thursday's game. If all three players miss, the Chiefs will be down crucial starters at each level of their defense, which is a big hit to a unit that is playing incredibly well of late. The loss of Jones in particular would seem to take some of the bite out of the Chiefs' pass rush, which could give Herbert more time to make his reads down the field. Don't go crazy in changing your rankings, but this is a slight bump up to the key Chargers' offensive options.--Eric Samulski
