Justin Herbert Plays Through Injury In Week 3 Loss
2 years agoLos Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert completed 25 of his 45 pass attempts for 297 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in a Week 3 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. He also added seven yards rushing on one carry and lost a fumble. Herbert's availability for the game was one of the day's biggest storylines as he is still recovering from a rib injury he sustained in Week 2. He decided to give it a go but was outperformed by second-year quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Still, Herbert managed some impressive completions, as he always does. Head coach Brandon Staley acknowledged after the game that Herbert's injury could linger for a while, but as long as he is on the field, he should continue to be started as a QB1 in fantasy lineups.
