Justin Herbert Not In Dolphins Plans?
5 years agoA source close to Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross said that the team is talking as though Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert is not in their plans with the fifth overall pick in the first round. The source thinks it'll either be Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa with the No. 5 pick or a position player with a later maneuver for Utah State quarterback Jordan Love. It's likely that Love is the next QB on Miami's draft board after Joe Burrow and Tagovailoa. Sources say that Georgia offensive tackle Andrew Thomas is the most likely non-QB that the Dolphins would take with their first pick in the first round this Thursday. Thomas would fill a huge need at left tackle for the Dolphins. If they don't end up with Thomas, Boise State tackle Ezra Cleveland could be a fallback option for the offensive line. They'd consider Isaiah Wilson or Josh Jones with their final pick in Round 1 if they don't take a tackle with their first two first-round picks.
