2 years agoLos Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert (rib) is considering taking a pain-killing injection ahead of Week 3. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the signal-caller will make his decision in pre-game warmups. Just two years ago, then-Chargers quarterback Tyrod Taylor suffered a serious injury when a team doctor punctured his lung while injecting a pain-killer to address a similar rib injury. Evidently, there is risk associated with the injection, which is likely why Herbert is taking his decision up until gametime.
