Justin Foscue Heating Up In July
5 months agoTexas Rangers infield prospect Justin Foscue went 2-for-5 with a solo home run for Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday. This comes after Foscue picked up five hits on Tuesday. The infielder, who had previously dealt with an oblique injury has had a huge month of July thus far. In that span, he is hitting .407 with two homers, eight RBI and six runs. The club's No. 2 prospect per MLB Pipeline, Foscue had a cup of coffee with the Rangers earlier this season, prior to his injury, but only had two at-bats. He is swinging the bat well enough to receive a promotion, but without a real opening, everyday at-bats at Round Rock seem to be what is best for Foscue's development. Because of his lack of opportunity at the moment, his value remains strongest in dynasty leagues. If he were to get promoted to the big leagues later this summer, he would be an intriguing add.
